Questions & FAQs
Whether you’re here for lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, or a full mind-body-soul renewal, this guide answers the most common questions I receive — with a focus on the treatment I’m best known for lymphatic work.
What are your qualifications?
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and a Natural Therapeutic Specialist with over 10 years of hands-on experience. I am certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage techniques and specialize in lymphatic and myofascial bodywork for both wellness and post-surgical recovery.
My training also includes Craniosacral Therapy and Core Synchronism (Core Synchronicity), allowing me to work with the body’s subtle rhythms and energetic systems to promote deep relaxation, nervous system regulation, and overall balance. By integrating these modalities, I create a customized approach that supports your body’s unique needs and encourages full-body healing.
What makes your style of bodywork different?
Each session is completely customized. I intuitively blend multiple therapeutic modalities — including lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, energetic balancing, abdominal work, and nervous system regulation — to meet your body’s unique needs that day.
My approach is holistic, deeply intentional, and rooted in presence. Whether you’re recovering from surgery, detoxing, or seeking a deeper connection with your body, each treatment supports your physical and energetic systems in full alignment with your healing goals.
What Does Your Lymphatic System Do?
Your lymphatic system is a complex network of vessels, glands, nodes, and tissues. In some ways, it can be thought of as a drainage system because it helps to maintain fluid balance and is key to carrying toxins and waste out of cells.
By helping with toxin removal, the lymph network is extremely important to skin health, since an accumulation of toxins can be the root cause of skin eruptions (and many other health issues).
The lymphatic system is also critical for immune function. It carries a specific type of white blood cells known as lymphocytes that help your body fight off infection.
In fact, tiny capillaries connect nearly your entire body to the lymphatic system. Only a few areas, like bone marrow and the central nervous system, are not connected.
As you can tell, if your lymphatic system isn't functioning properly, it can cause all sorts of problems. And the key to lymphatic health is flow. Stagnant, sluggish lymph can lead to toxin buildup and multiple health issues.
What is lymphatic drainage massage?
Lymphatic drainage is a gentle, rhythmic technique that supports the movement of lymph — a clear fluid that carries waste, toxins, and immune cells throughout your body. When lymph becomes stagnant, it can lead to inflammation, swelling, and fatigue. These sessions encourage detoxification, strengthen immune function, support post-surgical recovery, and enhance overall vitality.
What is myofascial release?
Myofascial release is a therapeutic technique that targets the fascia — the connective tissue surrounding muscles, organs, and other structures in the body. When fascia becomes tight or restricted, it can cause pain, limited range of motion, and tension patterns. Using gentle, sustained pressure, myofascial release helps to soften and lengthen these tissues, improving movement, releasing stored tension, and supporting overall structural balance.
What is craniosacral therapy?
Craniosacral therapy is a subtle, hands-on approach that works with the gentle movement of the craniosacral system — the membranes and fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. By using light touch to release restrictions, it supports the body’s natural ability to heal, calm the nervous system, and restore balance. This therapy is deeply relaxing and can help with headaches, stress, trauma recovery, and a variety of chronic conditions.
What is core synchronism?
Core Synchronism (Core Synchronicity) is a gentle form of bodywork that blends principles of craniosacral therapy, polarity therapy, and osteopathy. It works with the body’s subtle energetic rhythms, aligning the physical and energetic systems to restore harmony. This approach is deeply restorative, helping to relieve tension, improve energy flow, and create a profound sense of balance and wellbeing.
How many sessions will I need?
Every body is different, but I strongly recommend beginning with a series of four weekly treatments to experience the deepest results. This gives your body a consistent rhythm of support and allows us to track and build on your progress.
What are the benefits of a treatment series?
A series allows your body to settle into a healing rhythm. You’ll receive ongoing lymphatic support, nervous system regulation, and focused time to address needs like scar recovery, inflammation, or detox. Booking a package also provides a discounted rate.
Do you work on post-surgical clients?
Yes — I specialize in post-surgical recovery and have supported clients healing from liposuction, breast surgery, abdominoplasty, explants, and more. My Recovery Series is designed to prepare your body before surgery and support optimal healing afterward.
Do you offer in-home treatments?
Yes, in-home sessions are available for an additional travel and setup fee. These sessions must be booked directly via text or email.
Can I receive treatment if I’m pregnant or ill?
Yes — I offer prenatal massage for clients who are at least 12 weeks along. If you are feeling unwell or have an active cold or flu, please wait until you are fully recovered before rescheduling.
Will my session be clothed or unclothed?
For proper energetic flow and to allow the body to receive the most benefit from the work, it is preferred that you wear the least amount of clothing you are comfortable with. You will remain professionally draped, covered, and safe at all times, with only the area being worked on exposed. Your comfort is always the priority, and clothing adjustments can be made according to your personal preference.
How will I feel after my session?
Some clients feel lighter, more energized, and deeply relaxed right away; others feel a wave of sleepiness as their body shifts into recovery mode. You may also notice increased urination, digestion, or mild fatigue as your system clears waste — all natural signs your body is rebalancing.
Are there any conditions where treatment isn’t recommended?
Yes — acute infections, untreated heart conditions, kidney failure, blood clots, and certain cancers require medical clearance before treatment. Please share your full health history on your intake form.
Do you work on men?
Yes — I accept male clients through direct referral from existing clients or trusted colleagues.
What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable clothing is best. During treatment, you will be draped for privacy and comfort.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept credit/debit cards, Venmo, Zelle, and cash. Payment is due at the time of service.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee, as your appointment time is reserved just for you.
